Equipment

  • 1 9" pie plate

Ingredients

  • cups graham cracker crumbs about 12 graham crackers
  • ½ cup sugar
  • cup cocoa powder
  • 8 tbsp butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉.
  • In a medium sized bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, cocoa powder, and melted butter together well combined. Use a fork to help break up any clumps.
  • Pour mixture into a 9" pie plate and gently spread and press into bottom and sides of plate. You can use the bottom of a measuring cup for more even distribution.
  • Bake crust for 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
  • For a no-bake pie recipe that doesn't require baking the crust, you can just chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes while preparing the filling.
  • Once crust has completely cooled or chilled, it is ready for pie filling!

Notes

Feel free to substitute the graham cracker crumbs for any cookie or cracker crumb that you prefer!
This doesn't require baking for no-bake recipes, but I have had better luck with my crusts sticking together when they are baked. So, I bake either way!
If you have trouble with the crust sticking to your plate when removing, you can try spraying your pie plate with grease first or you may need to decrease the amount of butter slightly to see if that helps.
