Preheat oven to 375℉. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with grease.
In a large mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients, flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
In a separate bowl, using a hand or stand mixer, whisk together the butter and sugars until well combined.
Add in the eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients about ½ cup at a time until well combined.
Lastly, add in the 2 cups chocolate chips.
Using a cookie scoop or spoon, roll cookie dough (about 2-3 tbsp) into balls and place them evenly on the parchment lined cookie sheet.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until just starting to brown. They may not seem fully done, but if they are starting to brown, you want to remove them so not to overbake.
Allow to cool on pan for 5 minutes before transferring to rack to cool completely.
