This week for our geography studies in our homeschool, we “traveled” to Brazil! We even had the lovely privilege of meeting and having dinner with friends from Brazil. They speak Portuguese as their first language, so it was quite a fun experience trying to communicate, but we had a blast. Google translate helped us out! For this (virtual) travel experience we decided to try out Brazilian Garlic Butter Steak as our main cuisine! It was absolutely delicious! It was tender and so flavorful and quite simple to prepare.

Brazilian garlic butter steak is prepared using skirt steak and you must be sure to cut against the grain to achieve a nice tender steak that’s easy to chew. We served this with a side of fried plantains, which is also a popular food in Brazil. You could also serve with a nice cold and creamy glass of Brazilian Limeade! Yum!

What do you need for Brazilian Garlic Butter Steak?

How to prepare This delicious BrazIlian steak?

First you will need to cut your steak into 3-4 pieces, so that they will fit in your skillet. You’ll want to drizzle oil (we used olive oil) over both sides of your steak and generously season it with salt and pepper to your liking.
